Production Manager I (Maintenance)
Will require travel (25%), and the directing of multiple facilities including Elgin, OR and Homedale, ID.
Responsibilities
The Production Manager will direct the efforts of plant management personnel to profitably achieve the safety, production and environmental objectives of the region. Promotes and maintains an expectation that all injuries can be prevented and a safety culture driven by employee participation and involvement. Participates in establishing goals, priorities and strategies for safety, quality and production activities. Reviews production processes to identify cost reduction opportunities, quality improvement and environmental compliance; develops budgets and forecasts. Responsible for providing leadership to optimize business performance by taking an active role and providing support for region Boise Improvement Cycle (BIC) initiatives.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: College degree or equivalent work experience in related job function. Must have seven to ten years demonstrated wood manufacturing experience at a plant manager or above leadership level.
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer more than 10 years of experience in a wood products manufacturing leadership role. Broad wood products manufacturing experience (i.e. lumber, particleboard, engineered wood products) is a plus. The successful candidate will have business optimization knowledge, including data driven decision making skills and proven leadership and management skills.
