Central Supply Technician (Main) (Telecommunications)
Base Pay: $21.00 - $31.50 / hour JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the terminal cleaning, sterilization of medical equipment, and quality control testing for diagnostic tests. Manages receiving and stocking of medical supplies, linens, and paper goods. Utilizes computer inventory system for receiving and maintaining supply inventory. Responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders.Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.) JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveriesReceive shipments and sign paperwork upon receiptInspect contents to ensure they are undamagedAssembles, sterilizes, and dispenses surgical instruments, equipment and instrument trays to examination rooms and all clinical areas.Receives or picks up soiled instruments from clinical areas for cleaning, sanitizing and sterilization.Performs quality control testing for diagnostic tests and maintains log of test results.Assists personnel with specific procedure tray contents and design.Works collaboratively with Clinical Directors for clinical issues.Accurately receives stocks and distributes medical supplies and equipment.Constant knowledge of stock and ability to adjust when filling orders to ensure all areas have enough stock.Solid understanding of health and safety regulations. Accurately researches information on custom equipment and supplies as needed and requested by Clinic staff.Routinely inventories nursing supply areas and replenishes supplies as needed.Rotates perishable stock.Accurately orders, receives, and distributes linen.Removes all empty boxes from the supply areas and takes them to the recycling bin.Performs quarterly inventory of stock in collaboration with the Finance Department.Ships and receives all UPS, FedEx and other shipping methods for the Clinic and maintains logbook for everything shipped out.Foster an environment that promotes trust and cooperation among all staff of SCHC.Enforce clinic policies and procedures to ensure that the principles of SCHC are implemented.Attend Department/Center-wide meetings as required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Experience in Central supply and inventory managementProficiency in inventory software, databases, and systemsMust also have adequate physical strength to unload shipping as well as the clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers.Basic math and recording abilitiesKnowledge of aseptic techniquesStrong orientation to detail and careful follow through of all tasksExcellent written skills, including handwriting, spelling and grammarExcellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skillsMust be able to work independently and as a teamAbility to meet deadlines, occasionally under pressure.Adaptive to change to be able to work effectively in and adapt and support a continually changing environment.Interpersonal skills with others through an ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with others.Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and understand processes.Experience using ENVI and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
