Busperson, HopCity - Hilton Portland Downtown (Food Services)
HopCity Tavern at the Hilton Portland is looking for an Evening Busperson to join the Food & Beverage team. This role assists with Room Service deliveries to guest rooms in addition to supporting in the restaurant. Availability: Open availability required for all PM shifts, no set days or schedule restrictions, union position, anticipate 2-3 days a week to start
Shift: 3pm - 9 or 11pm
Hourly Rate: $15.95 per hour plus tips and automatic service charge on room deliveries
What will I be doing?
As a Busperson, you would be responsible for setting and clearing dining tables and stocking service stations, assisting with guest room food deliveries in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Set and prepare tables for dining, including, but not limited to, folding napkins, cleaning and placing tableware, serving water, etc.
- Ensure tableware is in good and working condition and report any defects for repair
- Stock, maintain and clean designated food station(s)
- Assist food server(s) with table service, including, but not limited to, serving beverages, breads, etc.
- Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to dishwashing area
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean work environment, including, but not limited to, floor sweeping, cleaning windows within arm's reach, wiping counters and shelves, etc.
- Set up, stocking, and breakdown of to go supplies and products
- Gather In Room Delivery orders, package, and deliver to guest rooms
- Return In Room Delivery items from guest floors
