The People & Engagement (P&E) Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York partners with senior management and Business Groups to advance and support the Bank's culture of excellence by fostering an inclusive environment to engage and motivate staff. In this exciting role, you will support a portfolio of P&E projects in the P&E Project & Risk Management (PRM) team to advance the Bank's strategic priorities related to its strategy. You will report to the Director of Project and Risk Management.
Your role as a Project Manager:
Responsible for the project management of highly visible, complex projects with Bank-wide impacts.
Champions and promotes quality throughout the project life cycle and monitors adherence to the Project Management methodology and best practices.
Leading a multi-discipline project team with direct responsibility from project ideation through project execution and closeout; -including managing project resources, project risk identification and mitigating strategies, etc.
Coordinates and reviews the project scope with appropriate stakeholders throughout the process, with a focus on providing an early awareness of impact to project schedule, scope, and budget.
Communicate project statuses both verbally and in writing to varying levels of management and stakeholders.
Maintains Program and Project Management methodologies and provides guidance and coaching to project teams and other project managers across P&E on the use of the methodologies, tools and techniques including scheduling, resource allocation and project costs
Serves as a subject matter expert in one or more of the Project Management methodologies and tool sets. Acquires and maintains a working knowledge of industry best practices for project management.
Supports SOX, Risk and Audit activities as necessary throughout the year.
Facilitates and develops materials for P&E's Project Review Board, which is a monthly forum to report out on projects in the P&E portfolio.
Supports leaders in aligning on strategic objectives and assessing organizational performance in meeting intended outcomes.
What we are looking for:
Demonstrated success managing highly visible, complex projects with organizational wide impacts.
Extensive experience in project management.
Strong organizational and self-management skills.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
Demonstrated ability to assimilate and apply new information quickly.
Effective communicator, ability to influence and drive progress.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain credibility with all levels of management and promote and cultivate quality throughout the organization.
Management consulting experience a plus.
Salary Range: $150100-190000/ year
