Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Develop and implement nutritionally balanced meal plans tailored to residents' dietary needs and preferences
- Supervise and train dietary staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including nursing and administration, to ensure residents receive appropriate nutritional care
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and budget management for food and supplies
- Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain high standards in meal preparation and service
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and train a team
- Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment
