Manufacturing Engineer (Engineering)
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under general supervision, develops and upgrades manufacturing processes to improve quality, cost, delivery, and safety performance. Also responsible to define and develop NPI capital equipment, tooling, and workflow processes to support new program introduction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years related experience and/or training in sheet metal fabrication, welding, and powder coating or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3D solid modeling and/or 2D CAD experience preferred. Preferred experience in dynamic nesting and SolidWorks. Strong back ground in Process Development, Lean and problem solving tools and value stream mapping experience. Background in sheet metal fabrication and familiarity with quality/process capability tools (Cpk, GD&T, etc).
SCOPE:
The job is responsible for the development and improvement of manufacturing processes in support of specific goals for quality, cost, delivery and safety. This position works independently with little supervision and without direct reports.
