Manufacturing Engineer (Engineering)
Genesis Products is seeking a dedicated and innovative Manufacturing Engineer with high growth potential to join our dynamic team. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to the optimization of manufacturing processes, collaborating closely with Operations Managers and other key stakeholders within the operations and engineering teams. The selected candidate will report to the Operations Manager, playing an integral part in driving improvements and ensuring excellence in our systems and operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Development of Manufacturing Processes: Spearhead the design of safe manufacturing processes that enhance production flow, assembly methods, and the operation of production equipment.
Procurement Management: Oversee purchasing activities related to maintenance and equipment systems, ensuring cost-effective procurement practices.
Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct detailed cost-benefit evaluations for factory tooling, aiding in effective decision-making.
Facility and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure optimal functioning and maintenance of facilities and equipment systems.
Tool and Equipment Sourcing: Identify, procure, and justify investments in various tools and machinery that uphold safety and manufacturing standards.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead initiatives using lean methodologies to drive cost reduction, quality enhancement, efficiency gains, and improved material flow.
Quality Control Development: Collaborate with Quality Engineers to design robust quality control plans that ensure product excellence.
Process Optimization: Execute work measurement analysis using time studies or predetermined motion time systems to refine processes.
Data Management: Perform data entry and maintain systems using advanced Microsoft programs.
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field, with a focus on mechanical or industrial engineering preferred.
Professional Experience: 3+ years of engineering experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential.
