CIO - Houston, TX (Construction)

Job Summary:

Directs and coordinates information systems planning and functions including all phases of systems design, programming, installation and operations. Reviews and evaluates projects feasibility studies on management requirements, priorities, implementation, installation and operation of information systems and equipment.

• Collaborate with the executive team to align technology strategies with business objectives and contribute to the overall corporate strategy.
• Establish and actively communicate a clear technology vision, roadmaps, and goals that support business growth and operational excellence.
• Provide thought leadership and guidance on emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
• Lead a diverse team of IT support and engineering staff to foster a service-oriented culture.
• Lead technology modernization efforts, identifying opportunities to leverage technology for process optimization, cost savings, and supporting revenue growth.
• Drive the implementation of advanced analytics, business intelligence, and data initiatives to improve decision-making and predictive capabilities.
• Foster a culture of fresh thinking and experimentation, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and ideation.
• Determines, recommends and establishes necessary technology infrastructure, standards and equipment necessary to facilitate strategic technology initiatives.
• Leads the ITMC and provides regular feedback to Senior Management.
• Ensures that technology expenditures are appropriate and ensures future projects meet companywide objectives.
• Ensures internal and external customer satisfaction through facilitation of project management and communication.
• Responsible for successful implementation, maintenance and upgrades of all technical projects.
• Ensures appropriate security and disaster recovery is in place to ensure the integrity of the corporate wide systems.
• Ensure the security , integrity and compliance of IT systems and data
• Mentor and develop IT leadership
• Monitor emerging trends in technology and assess their applicability to the organization
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and digital literacy across the organization.
• Reviews and controls departmental annual budget.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Specific experience with implementing or managing these enterprise applications: Dynamics 365 or similar ERPs covering key functional areas such as Accounting, FP&A, Supply Chain; PowerBI or similar enterprise BI software Salesforce; Work Order Management, Field Services Management, HRIS and Payroll
• Familiarity with energy industry-specific software and technologies related to monitoring and data capture from oil wells is a plus.

Education Requirements:

Education and knowledge listed below represent the demonstrated skill in a specific area required for this job.

• A bachelor's or master's degree in information technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant business degree is a plus.
• Proven track record of at least 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in technology and information management, preferably within the energy or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of energy sector dynamics, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Travel 25% to 50%.
