About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant with strong analytical skills to perform complex accounting transactions and prepare various financial reports while also identifying new opportunities for process improvement. This will include collaborating with team members and other business areas to analyze, research, and review financial information. This individual will maintain accounting records through journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of accounts.
You will:
Apply more advanced accounting principles, practices, and techniques to record, classify, and analyze financial data and transactions. Prepares routine and non-routine journal entries and maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and standard reports.
Assist in preparation of more advanced financial reports and statements.
Ensure all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
Provide financial support including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget.
Conduct or participate in special accounting projects, developing and recommending accounting methods and procedures.
Analyze and solve a range of straightforward problems while receiving a moderate level of guidance and direction.
You Have:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA or CPA exam eligibility desired.
2 - 5 years professional experience in an accounting environment.
Finance ERP (general ledger, capital assets, financial reporting) experience desired.
Strong analytical skills, including proficient excel skills.
Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial reporting, and capital budgeting.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

This role allows for the employee to work in a hybrid manner with some work conducted onsite at the Federal Reserve work location and some work conducted remotely. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
