Nobu Del Coronado will offer over 3,700 square feet of stunning indoor and al fresco oceanfront dining space, including an outdoor covered patio dining with a pagoda bar and dedicated sushi bar. Nobu Del Coronado will also spotlight Nobu-signature dishes including the iconic Black Miso Cod and Yellowtail Jalapeño, as well as Nobu's world-renowned sushi, plus locally inspired dishes and cocktails.

Classification:Full-Time

Shift:Various - must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate:The pay rate for this role is $20.91 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?

Responsible for bar service equipment/supply maintenance and set-up. Maintains the cleanliness of the bar and service area during the shift. Barbacks are responsible for completing tasks related to stocking, replenishing, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of beverages under the guidance of the bartender. They also need to ensure bartenders are prepared for peak service times. Inform the Bar Supervisor of any items that are running low.

Position Summary:

• Maintains bar and service ware during their shift.

• Prepare & stock refrigerating units with beer, water, sake, wine, etc.

• Prepare food items needed in the preparation of drinks such as garnishes, purees, syrups, etc.

• All reach-ins should be stocked during service, as needed, and at the end of the shift.

• Check Vintages & Update Yama board. Clean and polish bar, counters, shelves, equipment, bar stools, etc

• Use the proper cleaning product on all areas, such as wood, glass, and stainless-steel polish.

• Polish all glassware.

• Clean, wipe, and reset tables, help run drinks, and prepare a variety of coffee and tea items (cappuccino, espresso, etc.).

• Provides assistance with all bartending services required for fulfilling customer requests.

• Treats customers with courtesy and respect.

• Follows all applicable safety procedures.

• Is at all times appropriately groomed and wears the uniform provided.

• Obtain bar stock, ice and service items from storage areas.

• Replace beer kegs, soda tanks, CO2 tanks, wine-on-tap containers as required.

• Clean the bar area continuously during the shift.

• Remove used service items from the bar area as required.

• Assist Bartender with bar set-up and break-down as required.

Cut (prepare) fruits and vegetables for cocktail garnishes.
