Assistant Store Manager (Transportation)
Reporting to the Store Manager, as the Assistant Store Manager you will support the Store Manager in the daily operation of our retail stores. You will be responsible for supervising team members, communicating with guests, carrying out directives given by the Store Manager, and contributing to a positive work environment for employees.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Oversee store inventory to include audits, physical inventories, proper receiving and destruction.
Lead teams efficiently and ensure excellence in performance and guest service.
Oversee all aspects of store employees including hiring, training, development, performance evaluations, and terminations.
Ensure cash management procedures are being followed including, transacting, opening, closing, depositing, reporting, reconciliation and escalation of discrepancies.
Maintain the safety and security of all guests and team members.
Partner with cross-functional teams to communicate all relevant store needs.
Ensure team focuses on superior guest service and upholds a positive reputation of the company.
Responsible for reviewing SOPs and assuring that any changes are communicated to employees.
Support marketing and promotions by ensuring visual excellence through product placement, closing standards, and implementation of seasonal direction.
Foster and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications
1-2 years of supervisor/management experience in retail, guest service or hospitality
Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills
Ability to lead and motivate a sales-focused team in a fast-paced retail environment
Excellent written, verbal and group communication skills
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Cross functional collaborator, as well as independently motivated
Physical requirements- Ability to walk or maneuver and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day and the ability to lift 30lbs.
Must be 21 years of age and able to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in business or related field
Previous cannabis industry experience
Experience in a heavily regulated environment
