Pay Rate : $40-$50 per hour depending on experience
Your Role:
Tetra Tech Inc. Disaster Recovery (TDR) is currently hiring for a paralegal or similarly experienced employee. The Ownership Data Reviewer will work with federal disaster recovery grant programs along with the Program Manager, subject matter experts, and review and reconcile case files.
The successful candidates will have extraordinary attention to minute detail and be responsible for executing detailed case file reviews as assigned to them under the supervision of the Program Manager. This is an onsite position, and candidates will be responsible for reporting to a Tetra Tech or client office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.
• Review and analyze Rights of Entry documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Verify that trust documents correspond with the property owner listed on the Right of Entry.
• Conduct thorough research on property ownership and trust agreements as needed.
• Prepare and maintain detailed records of findings and discrepancies.
• Communicate with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify any issues.
• Assist in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence related to Rights of Entry and trust matters.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to property rights and trusts.
• Provide support to attorneys in case preparation and other legal matters as required.
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
• Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred.
• Paralegal certification from an accredited program is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a paralegal role or similar legal experience, with a focus on property law or trust documentation.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology and concepts related to property rights and trusts.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in legal research and document review.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Office suite proficiency (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Word) experience required
• Ability to quickly learn new software systems when needed
• Must have proficient verbal and written communications skills with the ability to receive and execute instructions
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
• Work attentively with minimal supervision
• Workdays in excess of 8 hours and/or weekend attendance may be required
• Adaptable to work on many different deliverables and maintain composure and professionalism
Standard Schedule :
• This is a temporary assignment expected to last 6 months.
• Work hours are 8 hours per day 5 days per week. 30 Minute Lunch & 2 Fifteen Minute Breaks. This may change based on program needs.
• Work on the weekend shifts is anticipated.
