Starting Hourly Rate: $23.60
Work Schedule: Season is June to August. Camps are held daytime hours Monday through Friday.
Administers summer day camp programs for the City of Ann Arbor. This position acts as the Recreation Supervisor in their absence with responsibilities for all camp staff, operation of the day camp program, risk management and parental engagement. In addition, this position takes the lead in assisting the Recreation Supervisor in the administration, management, and operation of the day camp program. Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the camp and for assuring the care, safety and protection of up to 70 campers. Instruction and leadership in day camp including supervising up to 14 counselors, as well as the planning, organization, implementation and teaching of the day camp program. Experience and strong interest in working with children in a recreational setting. Ability to work independently with groups of children. River Day Camps are outdoor based and include daily boating and fishing activities. Reports to the facility Recreation Supervisor.
