Role reports to: Director of U.S. Tax Compliance
Location: Kenvue is currently in the process of moving its Global Headquarters from Skillman, NJ to Summit, NJ. This role is based in Summit, NJ but there may be a period of time during the transition that you must report to Skillman, NJ.
Travel: 5- 10%
Pay: Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $119,000 to $205,850 . This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities :
• Lead the North America (U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico) federal and state Consolidated/Combined Return process including managing expectations regarding tax returns and extensions prepared by the co-source provider(s)
• Detail review of income and franchise tax returns and workpapers, extensions, and quarterly estimated payment calculations prepared by the co-source provider(s) for accuracy, completeness, risk, and disclosure
• Detail review of state apportionment calculations and methodologies prepared by co-source provider(s)
• Research and analyze a wide range of potential federal and state tax return positions, including modifications, credits, incentives, and filing group methodologies
• Oversee the end-to-end payment execution of federal and state tax payments in collaboration with the Treasury and Procurement Teams
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and assist with impact modeling
• Manage the federal and state return-to-provision process and review proposed adjustments in conjunction with the Global Tax Reporting Team
• Maintain and continuously enhance the standard of audit ready documentation to facilitate efficient federal and state tax audit resolution
• Resolve federal and state tax notices in conjunction with the co-source provider(s) and/or internal resources
• Provide end-to-end support to the Tax Controversy Team on federal and state tax audits from initial IDR requests through final resolution
• Collaborate with the Tax Planning Team to identify and execute tax planning strategies to reduce cash taxes and the state effective tax rate
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment by leading, mentoring, and providing performance feedback to the Tax Compliance Team
• Ensure a strong internal control environment including compliance with all SOX and internal audit requirements
• Assist with the integration of tools to drive efficiencies and standardization across the compliance process
