The Wealth Management business unit of Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Associate, Wealth Strategies to join the National Sales practice as part of a versatile, experienced and credentialed team dedicated to supporting the growth of the business. The role will provide broad exposure to Northern Trust and its Wealth Management business, including working closely with individuals from our sales, nonprofit and investment teams, among others. Primary responsibilities of the team include responding to RFPs and conducting research on prospective clients. Other activities include coordinating sales leads, serving as a subject matter expert on fee schedules, and contributing to projects related to the sales process. Successful candidates will possess strong communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work in a dynamic team environment across a variety of disciplines.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
RFP Writing: Partnering with sales team members, create tailored responses to RFPs that articulate and differentiate Northern Trust's value proposition for wealth management, investment, trust and banking services. Engage Northern Trust subject matter experts from all business units and specialized practices to clearly convey relevant information based on the specific needs and objectives of the prospect. Research various wealth and investment management topics and consult with teams across the company to craft, edit and maintain material for use in proposals. Maintain and assist in improving databases used to enhance team efficiency.
Depending on the skills, experience and interests of the candidate, additional responsibilities may also include one or more of the following:
Prospect Research: Compile detailed research profiles on prospective Wealth Management clients using a variety of research tools, applications and resources to help front-line sales team members better understand the potential needs, interests and connection points of their prospects.
Fee Proposal Guidance: Develop a detailed understanding of Northern Trust's fee schedules and how they are applied. Assist front-line sales team members in applying fee schedules and preparing proposals to communicate relevant Wealth Management services and pricing for clients and prospects.
Sales Lead Coordination: Help to manage and coordinate sales lead activities, working closely with Sales Leadership to enhance processes and tracking . Research and assign incoming sales leads according to specified process.
Special Projects: Participate in and complete projects that help to manage, improve and understand Northern Trust's sales efforts. Support the evaluation, implementation and management of various applications used in support of the sales process. Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as assigned. Maintain and offer ideas for improvement for ongoing reporting and analysis.

Salary Range:
$74,200 - 126,200 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
