Federal Tax Director (Manufacturing)

Menasha Corporation is seeking an experienced Tax Director to help oversee our global tax strategy and operations. This role will manage the Senior Tax Analyst and work closely with the VP of Tax and other senior leadership to ensure compliance with US and international tax laws while optimizing our tax position across multiple jurisdictions. The Tax Director will play a crucial role in navigating the complexities of our tax structure and supporting the company's strategic growth initiatives.

Core Duties:

• Global Tax Strategy & Planning:
  
  • Assist in the execution of a comprehensive global tax strategy.
  • Provide strategic tax advice and assess risk in initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and new market entries.
  • Lead efforts in domestic and cross-border tax planning.
• Compliance Oversight & Risk Management:
  
  • Assist in overseeing the global tax compliance process and tax policies.
  • Prepare US Consolidated Federal income tax return including provision to return adjustments and tax re-class entries
  • Review state tax returns and implement state planning initiatives.
  • Preparation of Forms 1118, 5471, 8858, 8865, 8990, 8992, 8993, 8975
  • Closely monitor tax laws and regulations in all jurisdictions where Menasha operates.
  • Manage tax treatment of fixed assets.
  • Research and pursue credit and incentive opportunities.
• Leadership & Team Development:
  
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that tax considerations are integrated into the business strategy. Function as a liaison between the tax department and other functions, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
  • Assist in mentoring and development of the tax team.
• Financial Reporting & Tax Accounting:
  
  • Calculate year-end tax provision and quarterly estimated provision.
  • Advanced knowledge of ASC 740
  • Calculation and reporting of deferred tax assets and liabilities.
• Innovation & Process Improvement:
  
  • Identify, drive and implement process improvements that leverage technology and best practices.
  • Assist in the tax integration of acquired entities, ensuring seamless alignment with Menasha's existing tax structures and compliance processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree
• Advanced Credentials a plus (CPA, Masters in Tax, JD/LLM in Taxation)
• Minimum of 12 years extensive Corporate Tax Experience
• Ability to Lead in multi-national environments.
• Track record of building and leading high-performing teams that deliver results.
• Strategic Thinker with Business Acumen
• Exceptional Communication and Influencing Skills
• Experience with SAP and Corptax a plus
