Director, Supply Chain Solutions (Finance)

Overall accountability for designing warehousing, transportation, network strategy, and value-added services solution proposals to support revenue growth. Responsible for the management of a dynamic team of Managers and Analysts tasked with creating compelling proposals for solutions that add value to the customers' supply chains and meet Americold's financial guidelines.

What You'll Do :

• Research and understand customer requirements, determine and/or develop the most suitable warehousing or integrated solution and associated resources for all operations taking place within the facility/ies: Processes, Efficiencies, Equipment, Material Flow, and Layouts (with support from the Engineering group).
• Utilize expertise in warehousing and engineering along with a structured project management approach to respond to customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs), sales and internal project requests.
• Develop creative solutions utilizing the company's existing warehouse network and range of services, including transportation consolidation with the goal of delivering the most cost efficient, "winning" solution that enables supply chain improvement within Americold's cold chain offerings.
• Responsible for managing the Proposal Development Process (PDP), including hosting Qualification meetings, preparing Investment Memos, reviewing pricing scenarios and presenting to Executive Management.
• Lead and mentor a team of managers and analysts in support of solution design. Responsible to develop and grow innovative solutioning skills of the departments, creating consultative skills based on supply chain capabilities enablement of the team

What You'll Need :

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management
• At least 10 years of work experience in Engineering in a manufacturing and/or logistics (DC / Plant Operations) related role such as Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Solutions Engineering with a significant portion in the pre-sales process relative to RFP responses and solution design
• At least 3 years' experience leading a Solutions Department
• Experience in warehousing required, preferably in a variety of environments including bulk storage, high density storage, automation solutions, temperature controlled environments, etc.
• Ability to travel 10-15% on average, peaks to 20-25%; some international travel required

What Could Set You Apart :

• Master's degree preferred
• Strong understanding of Process Engineering and Industrial Engineering including manpower studies, efficiencies, layout design, etc.
• Excellent project management skills and experience related to design, prioritization, management of teams, deadlines, tasks, etc.
• Proven ability in strategy development, presentation development and delivery, team building, mentoring, planning and budgeting
• Hands on experience and expertise with analytical tool sets including Microsoft suite (excel, power point, word), SQL and Phyton programing
