Maintenance Director (Maintenance)

Wage DOE: $27.00-$32.00

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in the Post Acute/Long Term care industry. The Maintenance Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our facility operates smoothly by overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities to maintain a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position involves managing schedules and overseeing repairs and preventative maintenance across the facility. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities. They will serve as a key point of contact for various departments, responding swiftly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize disruption to building operations. Strong leadership, technical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential in this role, as is the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance operations and a team of maintenance technicians.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal facility performance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards.
• Coordinate repairs and service work with outside contractors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and practices, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations relevant to health care facilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with staff and vendors.
