Sr. Manager, Relationship Management (Finance)

1. Manages a Hedge Fund Services (HFS) relationship management group.
2. Allocates client accounts to relationship managers based on client needs, RM skillsets, and RM growth opportunities.
3. Proactively builds relationships across all clients managed by their group with a focus on developing and extending C-suite relationships. Anticipates client needs and communicates and advocates for those needs effectively.
4. Oversees client profitability, billing, AR and client AML onboarding for their team, ensuring RM policies and procedures are followed effectively.
5. Understands our clients' vendors and needs, the competitive environment, and anticipates and identifies opportunities for cross sell, up sell, develops pricing strategies, and holds their group accountable for commercial relationship plans.
6. Determines staffing needs, makes hiring decisions, and ensures resources are available to accomplish priorities.
7. Participates in developing the group strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for their team. Follows through to ensure that objectives are met.
8. Maintains communication with sales staff to anticipate needs effectively and provide support when needed.
9. Provides leadership and guidance to relationship management staff, fostering an environment which encourages continuous learning and professional and personal growth, employee engagement, teamwork, and communication.
10. Enables their group to execute on the strategic and functional evolution of the role.
11. Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or cross-functional areas within HFS and across the bank.
12. Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business, product solutions and technology groups to enhance the client experience, improve effectiveness and productivity.
13. Ensures members of the team are appropriately trained to carry out their responsibilities. Proactively highlights areas for development and fosters an environment of continuous learning.
Salary Range:
$158,010 - 276,460 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
