JOB SUMMARY
The position of Qualitative Research Intern is an internship within the Maternal, Child, and Family Health (MCFH) Division of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH). The primary responsibilities for the Qualitative Research Intern will be to assist the MCFH Lead Qualitative Researcher with various components of research and evaluation activities, especially related to initiatives hosted by the Philadelphia Community Action Network and the Room 2 Breathe Program's Home Improvement Pilot.

Work Environment: Standard office setting at workstation and periodic use of office equipment. This position will initially be fully remote and may transition to in-person work in accordance with public health guidance. A laptop will be provided for the duration of the internship.
Position Type and Work Schedule: The internship will run from May-August 2025 (Summer Internship). Hours are flexible, but the intern will be required to work up to 20 hours per week (minimum of 10 hours), between the hours of Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Travel: Possible local travel to multiple sites including community meetings and other events upon request.
Physical Demands: Transporting materials is limited to travel, if needed.
Salary and Benefits: The Qualitative Research Intern will be paid $5,000 per semester.
