The Clinical Program Director will oversee all crisis intervention program elements to ensure contract compliance and adherence to the evidence-based practices utilized in the mobile crisis model. Will work alongside Clinicians in field environment, during crisis intervention and brief therapeutic case management to evaluate Clinicians skill sets and performance in providing services to consumers, family members and law enforcement.
How will I contribute
Responsible for oversight of all elements of the mobile crisis program to ensure that contract agreements are kept, evidence-based practices are being utilized, and stakeholders (consumers, family members and law enforcement) are receiving services within the mobile crisis model.Provide training in the field to licensed, unlicensed and per diem Clinicians.Collaborates and partners with law enforcement to provide crisis intervention services in a safe, efficient way to reduce 911 calls, ER visits and hospitalizations, incarceration and removal of children from the home.Model healthy boundaries in engaging with consumers, families and law enforcement.Develop relationships with faith-based and community supports to provide for consumers and their families to enable the engagement in prolonged wellness and recovery.Monitor program outcome measures and provide reports to DBH and Director of Clinical Operations.Be an advocate for reducing the stigma related to mental illness and model cultural humility.Ensure program and contract adherence to wellness and recovery values.Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with DBH program analyst.Submit incident reports in a timely manner per the contract.Provides supervision, support, mediation, performance evaluation, improvement planning, and clinical leadership to CIT staff.Collaborates with Director of Program Development to provide the designated evidence-based staff training per the training plan.Develops staff schedules to meet the needs of the 24 hour per day Mobile Crisis programming.May encounter risk of working with persons with SMI (serious mental illness) that may include, but not limited to persons in mental health crisis, persons that may be intoxicated or impaired by drugs or alcohol, persons who may be DTO (danger to others), DTS (Danger to Self), or GD (Gravely Disabled). If such situations arise, staff will be required to call local emergency personnel to help deescalate the crisis, use crisis intervention techniques, and consult with supervisor as soon as practically possible.
What I bring
Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling with licensure as LMFT, LCSW in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners. At least 3 years of experience providing clinical and direct supervision of staff. Knowledge of evidence-based practices relating to crisis intervention, resiliency skills training, wellness and recovery, diagnosis, treatment interventions and stigma related to mental illness. Class C Driving License Current BBS license in good standing in the State of California. Must have a National Provider Number (NPI) or obtain an NPI number prior to employment start date. Basic Computer Skills, Strong communication skills, Strong listening skills, Ability to take clear concise notes
