Custodian - Specialized Cleaning (Finance)
The County of Riverside Facilities Management Department is seeking to fill a vacancy for the Custodian - Specialized Cleaning position located in Riverside.
The Custodian - Specialized Cleaning will perform a variety of building maintenance work. Within this role, the Custodian - Specialized Cleaning will perform window washing, pressure washing of interior and exterior windows, cleaning and maintenance duties of the front entry facades, and additional duties as needed. The Custodian - Specialized Cleaning will be expected to work and reliably perform duties independently and without close supervision.
Ideal candidates with prior professional experience in window cleaning and custodial services are encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience cleaning windows with tint and hard water highly preferred.
Work Schedule:
The work schedule for this position is as follows: Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
Meet the Team! Riverside County Department of Facilities Management provides property management and operations services for county owned and leased facilities throughout the 7,200 square miles of Riverside County and over 14 million square feet of space. The department is responsible for keeping county buildings safe, comfortable and productive for both county staff and the public.• Performs window washing.
• Performs pressure washing to interior and exterior windows.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of front entry facades.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.Ability to: Read and write English at a level required for successful job performance; learn the methods of cleaning and caring for buildings and equipment; understand and follow oral and written directions; work cooperatively with others.
Background: Sheriff Level 1 Clearance is required.Other Requirements:
Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License is required. The Custodian - Specialized Cleaning will be required to travel the downtown Riverside area for various job assignments.
Physical Ability and Physical Exposure:
Ability to manipulate objects/equipment and lift/carry objects such as cleaning supplies and window washing equipment. Position requires extensive standing and walking, stooping, and prolonged reaching above shoulders. Incumbents are subjected to various components, to include exposure to cleaning supplies, outdoor elements, human waste, and dust.
