Commodity Buyer (Finance)
What you will do:
The Commodity Buyer - Energy System (m/f/d) will support/develop the Lithium Ion Procurement organizations strategy for specific direct materials, with emphasis on identification of cost reduction opportunities, budget development/maintenance and procurement process improvements. This role manages the overall direction, processes spend associated for specific direct materials and is responsible for the development/deployment of sourcing strategies, translate strategy into objectives/action plans & drive execution of the objectives for assigned commodities aligned with the business/sourcing strategy & corporate goals. Furthermore, you will be results-driven about business cost reduction, revenue increasing initiatives, aggregating supplier volume/reducing price & utilizing tools/identifying opportunities for e-processes increasing capacity & driving controllership.
How you will do it:
• Develops, supports and implements negotiation strategy for global/regional materials including direct materials
• Supports to further establish a global/regional Lithium-Ion Procurement organization including processes and systems
• Analyzes global material acquisition and develops strategic plans for maximizing efficiencies and maintaining a high quality of customer services
• Direct supplier selection, negotiate and interpret contracts between Clarios and global material suppliers in alignment with Global Procurement Manager Lithium Ion
• Demonstrates accountability for functional, business and broad company objectives.
• Involved in long term strategic planning.
• Contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas of expertise.
• Interact on a periodic, continuing basis with cross functional and cross regional colleagues
• Provides for the evaluation of supplier quotations utilizing appropriate negotiation and procurement analysis techniques and implementation of proper contracts with emphasis on quality, price, delivery, and service necessary to meet requirements.
• Develops/supports budgets/standard cost for quarterly/annual operating and long-range planning for the defined commodity
• Supports development and monitor production capacity strategy with suppliers.
• Develops suppliers and support improving their Quality, Productivity, Conversion Cost and Delivery
• Identifies and determines strategy to implement process and tool improvements for strategic sourcing, tactical buying, and supplier payment
What we look for
Required:
• University degree in Economics, Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent; Commercial and/or technical education background desired
• Solid experience in a professional purchasing or other industrial function
• Knowledge of purchasing practices and applicable laws and regulations
• SAP skills and MS Office and knowledge of E-Procurement Applications preferred
