Program Manager 2 – Admissions (Finance)
1. Plans and develops procedures for administering a large or complex department or program.
2. Manages fiscal activities, including procurement and budget analysis.
3. Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance.
4. Prepares abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation.
5. Creates and reviews reports of expenditures and activities.
6. May administer grants and grant-related related communications, scholarships and other operations.
7. Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.
8. May serve as property custodian for the department.
9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.

Job Duties
1. Plans and develops procedures for administering a large or complex department or
program.
a. Advising of prospective students, including UH Co-operative students
i. Serve as the primary point person for all prospective inquiries.
ii. Provide admissions counseling to Prospective students via a variety of
platforms (in-person, phone, email, or virtual).
iii. Manage and track virtual and in person prospective admissions counseling.
iv. Review transcripts and provide unofficial evaluations for prospective
students.
v. Create, plan and execute prospective student workshops - in person and
webinar.
b. Communication
i. Respond to applicants for additional information/application via email, in
person, or telephone
ii. Schedule appointments with prospective students.
iii. Assist the Director of Recruitment with email communications to key
stakeholders (i.e. faculty, counselors/teachers, pre-pharmacy students, and
applicants).
c. PharmD Admissions Application:
i. In WebAdMIT - once verified assign applicants as designated by the Director
of Admissions.
ii. Serve as the lead PharmD admissions processor - approximately 30 - 40% of
the PharmD Admissions Applications
iii. Notify applicants by email/CRM of their application status, i.e. any
deficiency including pre-requisite courses, missing letters or other
requirements
iv. Serve as the primary contact for general application inquires
v. Execute and track International Transcript Evaluation request via interdepartmental at UH.
vi. Review and determine residency status for all applicants that apply to the
PharmD program.
d. PharmD Interview Days
i. Assist with the setup of PharmD Interviews
ii. Assist during each interview day - specific role to be assigned
iii. Provide feedback to enhance interview day to key stakeholders
e. Recruitment
i. Serve as back up to the Director of Recruitment for recruiting events such as
but not limited to high school, college fairs and pre-pharmacy associations.
ii. Assist the Director of Recruitment with recruiting events.
iii. Assist in tours of the University of Houston College of Pharmacy
iv. Meet with potential applicants to provide admission information
v. Assist with recruitment efforts in the Valley with the DHR-RGV program.
Track and monitor DHR-RGV recruitment contacts such as High School
Counselors, prospective students, College/University Advisors.
vi. Assist the Director of Recruitment with Summer Camp.
1. Track and monitor applications.
2. Notify students of acceptance into the program.
3. Create and send email communications to Summer Camp
participants.

i. Assist in updating candidate relationship management (CRM) system.
ii. Manage and track prospective contacts using multiple systems such as the
candidate relationship management system

3. Recruiting Event lists
5. Creates and reviews reports of expenditures and activities.
a. Onboarding:
i. Collaborate with the Director of Admissions and Enrollment, Director of
Admissions, Director of Recruiting to create email marketing campaigns.
Campaigns targeted towards prospective students.
ii. Implement and utilize a variety of platforms (text, CRM) to enhance the
marketing campaigns.
6. May administer grants and grant-related related communications, scholarships and other
operations.

8. May serve as property custodian for the department.

the Director of Recruitment
