Position Summary:
The Department of Chemistry is seeking a Program Administrator III to support a faculty member with an exceptional and vibrant research program. This position will administer a program or set of programs, responsible for devising operational plans to achieve the stated goals and objectives. This includes administering key functions such as operations, budget and financial management, human resources, events, outreach and communications, and may include student support and recruitment. The selected candidate will also play a crucial role in assisting with fundraising activities and supporting faculty and/or senior staff in building and managing relationships with internal and external entities.
This position reports directly to professor of chemistry and works in close collaboration with the Department of Chemistry office.

Workplace Requirements:
On campus position: This position is exclusively on-site, necessitating all duties to be performed in-person five days a week at the BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC) in the Rice University campus. Per Rice policy 440 , work arrangements may be subject to change.
Exempt (salaried) positions under FLSA are not eligible for overtime.
Additionally, this position is funded by a grant, soft and/or restricted funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of funding.
