Departmental Reporting Analyst under the Chief Academic Officer (Finance)
UTHealth Houston is looking for a Departmental Reporting Analyst. This new position within the Office of Research Development, under the Office of the Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer (EVP CAO), will play a key role in supporting strategic research initiatives. The role involves collaborating closely with information systems teams to design, develop, and implement online dashboards to track and analyze research activities and goals. You will be responsible for analytics and reporting activities. You must be able to design, create, and routinely produce standard and ad hoc reports and dashboards. Participates in and supports departmental process improvement projects. These dashboards will provide real-time insight into research activities that will be accessible to our higher leadership to measure progress. You should be extremely proficient in Excel, and any exposure to academic PeopleSoft modules or InfoEd is a plus.
This role requires someone who can work on-site because you will be meeting with decision-makers in our location at 1825 Pressler. This position is classified as exempt and qualifies for all UTHealth benefits.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Certification/Skills:
Proven ability to develop reports and to interpret data. (Preferred)
Advanced MS Excel modeling and data manipulation skills.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail skills.
Compelling oral and written communication skills.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline required; directly related experience in lieu of education may be considered.
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years of relevant experience in retrieving, analyzing, and reporting information.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
